I am eager to try this out. Unfortunately, the person who had it brought back from Essen for them was unable to attend last weekend's Twin Cities Boardgame Marathon.
However, I think she is going to be at an event this weekend and am hopeful we will be able to get a game in.
I am also thinking of starting a play-by-forum game soon. I have pretty much all the graphics done but I don't know what bonds are on the backs of the flags. If all works out this weekend, I should be able to get that info and get a game started soon.
I might be willing to jump into a game like that
The game feels so different with just minor rule changes. If you liked Imperial, I am sure you will like Imperial 2030 even more.
The biggest difference to me is that you cannot hole up against the corner of the board since it wraps around now. For some reason in our game, we didn't utilize the canals but we certainly did fight over them.
