Pit army against army! You decide the outcome with A Fistfull of Miniatures. Precis Intermedia brings this classic historical game of miniatures warfare back in an all new basic edition. Available in both PDF and Print, command 100 to 10,000 figures with its unique, fast-playing mechanics. The simple design means that once your armies are detailed, no further paperwork is required. Collect all your 15mm miniatures (or 25-30mm with some tweaking) for battle -- and if you don't have miniatures, templates are provided for making them out of paper. Best of all, it's affordably priced as low as $4.95.

Can you point us to any reviews?

How has the 2nd edition changed from the first? Is it just a cleanup, or are there new mechanics?

Does the 2nd edition integrate the "For a Few Miniatures More" expansion of the 1st edition?

Reviews are coming. It is primarily a cleanup, but there are some major changes in that this is the Basic Game. An Advanced Game will eventually follow, as will fantasy elements. The Basic Game focuses on 4 types of units: infantry, cavalry, chariotry, and engines (plus leaders) of varying types: arms, armor, and quality. So it is very much like the original, but also incorporating some of the optional rules from the original and For a Few Miniatures More (like chariots, unarmored and reinforced troops, pikes and polearms, shields and barding, and engines). Determining casualties through a formula is gone in lieu of 2 tables (one for ranged and one for melee), though you can still use the formulas if you choose. Some of the special rolls, like morale and leader elimination, have changed very slightly, but should still produce the same results. Again, this is the Basic Game which focuses on historical battles as opposed to fantasy battles, although there's no reason why you can't fight the latter.

I hope that answers your question. Thanks.
