I've just received this Deluxe edition and found out that the new cards need some sort of translation. With the original version, it was easily playable by following the icons at the bottom of each card.
While it is true that new actions are somewhat more sofisticated, they haven't created proper icons to understand them, so this game is unplayable till I get a small summary sheet with all the new actions listed and translated.
Unfortunately, in BGG there are only the official German rules.
A brief Google search made me realise that everyone has the same list of translated actions as in BGG:
a) Moby Duck: is placed in front of a player for one round. Only this player's ducks may be shot at in this round.
b) Bird flu: kills all ducks on the pond at once.
c) Frank-ent-stein (pun in German: Ente = duck): kill three adjacent ducks and bring one of your killed ducks back into play (built from the mortal remains of the former???)
d) Featherbrain: played on another player with a duck in the crosshairs. If that player has a fire card, he has to shoot his own duck.
e) Shot in the dark: Kills the topmost duck on the draw deck.
Give me a man ripe for a breakdown, and I'll end the world for you.
Our roads may be golden or broken or lost, but we'll walk on them willingly knowing the cost: we won't take our place on the shelves; it's better to fly and it's better to die, say the wicked girls saving ourselves.
Only two years late, but if you still want this, I've created an English translation: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/filepage/73007/sitting-ducks-de...
I've done some formatting tweaks in an updated file (including card paste-ups), but haven't uploaded the new version as yet. But it's a start, anyway.
