I submit this for approval. There is no Parrot category, others can add Gray, Macaw, etc. Mine is for the Caique which I own and will be buying the MB. Thanks.

Well, we already have religious microbadges (a lot of them), so, in my view, this is no different than others. As I said before, we need to express them in a "positive" light as opposed to an "I hate" or an "evil" point of view.
I hear you. And I know that "well you let HIM do it" is not exactly a good argument. But, for example, the first id badge text: "Intelligent Design - Time and Chance are not enough" is a deliberate misrepresentation of the science of biology. It is already a very deliberate negative anti science statement.

Point taken. I would support having the mouseover on this one changed. Perhaps something akin to, "Intelligent Design - Complexity requiries a Designer," or one of a myriad of other options. Hopefully the way I wrote it can be seen as a statement of belief (without adding the cumbersome, "I believe...) and not a validation. If not, back to the drawing board. Either way, it is a more positive (hence more benign) statement. Other options are welcome.
Thanks for that.

Well, FWIW, I think that as written it is a clear statement of the political side of ID - a quite deliberate strawman misrepresentation of biology. I suspect that most people who say they support ID, really mean that they support the idea of the good old fashioned Paley view that biological complexity is a proof that God did it. I would hope that they do not support (though, unfortunately some obviously do) the wider, malevolent side of ID - getting rid of the separation of church and state, getting their particular brand of religion taught to children by pretending it is science, changing science to no longer just focus on naturalism but to include the supernatural, etc.

Because of those associations, I will always find the term 'Intelligent design' offensive, in a way that Paleyism obviously is not. Whilst I do not, therefore, like the label (or the badge) to include the words 'Intelligent Design', your suggestion of "Intelligent Design - Complexity requiries a Designer," is far, far better than what we have now, since it is at least some sort of assertion of what the movement is supposed to be about, rather than a deliberate misrepresentation of science. If the ID badge had that text instead of what it has now, I would not feel the need to refute it on another badge.

Besides which, I pretty much agree with the statement - I just understand that the 'designer' is variation, selection and time, and that a God is not required in order for it to happen.

I just realized you said you already submit this. I would recommend cancelling your request until you've had the chance to accept some advice/critique from the community. The admin needs to see general approval in the thread before your badge will be approved.

I have looked through most of the existing microbadges and I do not recall seeing one that fits this description. I'd be interested in a badge like this. Could go along with mb.

And definitely needs transparency.

I like wizcreations design for Free Microbadge Collector/Hoarder.

I still want one that conveys that I refuse to pay for them.
How about this one:

Mouseover: I've never paid for a microbadge.

Edit: And I'd make it transparent before submitting whistle

I think something like this is acceptable. Just be careful not to make it too similar to mb. Could the red X look clearer?

pronoblem, I'd recommend using .png images as they allows greater colours (24-but vs 256) as well as transparency.

A few more possible candidates then?

Here in "progressive" Australia, political debate is still raging about marriage equality, even though over 68% of the population support it.

This Friday 2 March is "i do" day. A day where people can show their support and say that marriage is about love and commitment, not your partner's gender.

This badge is the symbol of Australian Marriage Equality, the group behind "i do" day.
