I received this gem of a game for Christmas and my Brother-In-Law and I were able to get it on the table for a test drive and lots of fun was had playing the Hobkirk's Hill battle.

I was interested in the rational for the +1 bonus to Fire when shooting uphill... is this because targets up hill provide a better silhouette or something?

Somewhat . . . in addition, muskets tends to fire high, a factor evened out by the fire pattern going uphill, which lowers the trajectory.

Glad youre enjping teh game . . . try Cowpens; best battle in the box

Sean, glad you enjoyed the game. So did I. I was similarly puzzled by the -1 modifier when shooting downhill. I assume that's the same rationale, that muskets tend to shoot high?
