So, anyone find anything recently that will work as mass storage for the hex pieces? I've tried finding the box that Falloutfan found (the Akron-Mils large storage boxes), but it seems they are no longer available. I've checked a number of craft stores, big box stores, "sports" stores (cough...Bass Pro, Dicks, Cabellas...), to no avail.

Any luck 'round town?

I've found Plano boxes t Walmart that fit the hexes. Note that the deep box did not come with the case and replaced two of the more shallow ones.

Make sure you spell the company correctly when doing a search: "Akro-Mils"

Here's one source that I found:
http://www.homeandbeyond.com/prod-0078421.html

I just picked up one last week at my local craft store.

This is definately the box you want. I've got three of them and they are perfect. I got mine at Wal-Mart. They aren't in the sports section with the Plano tackle boxes, they are in the crafts section for organizing beads and stuff.

I've the spelling right when searching...not when posting.

I may have to order them since I've not been able to find anything of it's like in my area...sadly. Is it bad that when I go looking, actively or otherwise that I usually have a map board piece in my pocket?

A good thing...definitely a good thing.

The only ones I find at Wally world (crafts section and beyond) are rounded off and too small. I swear in the mid-west if you don't do jewelry you don't do crafts!

Yeah, I've got my three plus a binder with all the reference cards in the campaign bag. It really is a perfect fit.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...

I need a badge...or smiley...that says "I've eaten my own words on the last day of 2009".

The wife and I went to good ole' Wal-Mart, because one of my boys needed a prescription filled. I wandered over the crafts section...as I do on a weekly basis; and lo' and behold...a new pile of craft boxes...not any craft boxes, but the Akrowhatever large craft boxes. Sigh...Yes, I now have 'em... shake

I posted about this a while ago. Following a recommendation from a fellow geek I junked all my careful storage and put all the tiles loose in one box (seperated by countryside, winter/desert only). Really speeds up set-up time. Just looks far less OCD!

Do you mean no longer available from the MFR, or locally?

Call these guys (Akro-Mils) 1-800-253-2467 and ask them where to find them, or if you can order them.

I've seen them both at Wal-Mart and Hobby Lobby in the past few weeks. If they're no longer gonna be made, I'm clearing out their stock.

I was looking on Ultra Pro website and found those

Ultra Pro 12 Pocket Page

Looks like the Hex would fit perfectly in those. Will have to check that out!

Edit: Bought a box of the pages today, the hexes fit perfectly!
