I'm going to knock up a print and play Easter game, hopefully something that kids and adults will enjoy together. However, a central mechanic is likely to be the delivery - and scoffing - of Cadbury's mini eggs, and I was just wondering if they - or an equivalent - are readily available outside the UK?

For anyone who doesn't know, Cadbury's mini eggs are small milk chocolate eggs with a coloured candy shell. They come in 4 colours (pink, brown, yellow, and a blue/white colour), and are sold everywhere in the UK in the run-up to Easter... which seems to have started already shake

You can get them in Canada too. I'm a little too excited about this idea of a chocolatey game! Where will I find it after you've finished and posted it?

Yes, they are generally available, but not the real ones. These are made by Hershey (although branded Cadbury) and taste substantially different. Real Cadbury mini eggs can sometimes be found in specialist import stores.

This game is clearly not play-tested. Bunnies do not lay eggs. I suspect a pasted on theme...

Bunnies deliver eggs; or so I am reliably informed by Katie(4) and Clementine(7).

Related question for those not in the UK, what colours do mini eggs come in?

From the description I think that this kind of chocolate egg coated with an hard sugar shell has not been invented by Cadbury or other companies but a common easter sweet.
Here in Italy such kind of eggs (in various colors and sizes) are common during easter holidays.

Edit: about colors they come in any but usually the have clear light colors like yellow, orange, white, pink, azure and so on.

This blog has a good description and pictures of the US version of Cadbury Mini Eggs (made by Hershey).

The image in the blog confirmed my idea. Such kind of sweet is really common in Italy and every (small or big) "confetti" producer makes them. Of course they sell the most during easter.

Eggs/Ovetti

Confetti

Despite the axiom that every game is better with a dexterity element, this one is more Merchants of Venus with eggs.

Still, I think you've found a gap in the market...
