Just thought I'd take a quick second to share how I've been dealing with Monolithic balance issues when playing with 2 players. I tried limiting it to 1 card, as suggested in the other thread, but I found that made the Monolith less worth fighting over, which is a big part of this design

So instead, I've started having the Monolith grant one card during the first 6 rounds of the game, then bumping it back up to 2 after that. You can keep track either with a die or just by counting Secret Mission cards.

This prevents someone from getting lucky with strider tiles and starting the game off with a massive hand of energize cards, while still ensuring that both sides will send their heavy hitters to the Monolith once they enter the game
