Tom held a contest for tie designs when ArtsCow had a sale on ties. Here is the link to this specific tie.

Nothing like family, friends and games...and music and beer...and pizza and bean dip...and actually having time to play games...

Tom had me at the very beginning:

"By now, it's widely accepted among anybody who likes fun games that Memoir '44 is the definitive World War II game." Hee hee! It's the look on his face that sells it.

Wow! I showed the video to my wife, and she had the same reaction.

Here's what happened, although no one is going to believe me. I was going to say "shmithereens", and then I wondered if it was "shmithereens" or "smithereens", so I just changed my wording on the fly. Didn't want to look stupid, you know.

Hmmm. Even I can't deny how that sounds. Perhaps I should re-record.

Never trust the brute-force power of a computer network to do the job of a combinatorialist.

I believe you. My daughter was watching this with me last night. She laughed out loud and actually said "He was trying to say 'smithereens' and 'pieces' at the same time!"

I'm glad that her first thought was 'smithereens', and not some other word.

I believe ya Tom. As a matter of fact, the word that came to my mind instantly was 'shreds'.

Thanks for the review!

I thought smithereens when I first heard it.

Nice review. I always thought Tom was an old dad type! He's merely a young dudish dad type.
