In a thread under the main game I mentioned I was planning on speed painting descent. I finished the core monsters in 2 weeks and are now moving onto the expansions.

I've finished off Well of darkness and am starting on Altar of despair

Here's a link to the off site gallery (no point clogging BGG with all my images)

All models are sprayed, base coloured, inked once, dry-brushed and then have small amounts of detail work (eyes, mouth claws etc). Each group is done in one sitting and doesn't take longer than 3-4 hours per group (and most of that time is spent doing other things waiting for paint to dry)

A very simple paint job as inking and dry-brushing works so well given all the bumps on the model.Actual painting time for these guys was about an hour or so (Discounting dry times).

Those look nice, and it's pretty impressive for such fast work.

How do you get the bases to look like that, however? Just directly painting on the pattern, or something else?
