Steenstra's Almond St. Claus cookies!!

I found these in the Publix (local grocery store chain) bakery. They are wonderful!!! And no milk/dairy products!!! They are reasonably priced and delicious. They proudly proclaim that they are made in Michigan!!!!

Here is the nutritional information!! Not too shabby!!!

Holy crap! It's windmill cookies! This was our snack in kindergarten.

I'm sorry, Mrs MB, but I hated windmill cookies. I wonder if I would like them now??

Windmill cookies and fig newtons-- those were our snacks- blech to both!!
But I am happy you are buying something from Michigan!

Please, everyone, buy stuff from Michigan before we go bankrupt!!

Well, I am a good baker, and these taste VERY GOOD!!! Lots of pre-packaged and even bakery goods taste either artificial or have a somewhat greasy/not pleasant aftertaste. These are very good!!!

I am going to try windmill cookies again next time I see them!

Other than the partially hydrogenated oil, they do seem almost healthy!

I've only ever seen the Windmill shape. The ones in the picture MMB posted don't look like Windmills, though. What are they supposed to be?

I want the Rooster ones.

Oops!! Shoulda included the link!! Only $3.99!!

I liked these as a kid. I would always pretend that they were real and that there were wee little millers inside. Sometimes they would jump out the door just in time, and then they would lie face-down in the dirt wailing "My livelihood! My livelihood! How will I ever pay the king's tax now?" However, if I bit into an almond that meant that the miller was still inside and was being devoured. He would scream out of the window to his pretty young wife, "Forget me, Margolis! Live your life! Marry again! You have my blessing! AAAH! THE PAIN!!!"

They should have made little cookie churches.

I've had biscuits that look kind of like that - they were imported from Holland and had a very distinct ginger flavour. I quite like them.

EgorjLileli, other people want to use punctuation too, and you're using it all up! I count 30 exclamation points between the title and the original post. Do you think punctuation grows on trees? I may have to revoke your punctuation privileges if this keeps up. ninja
