In the interests of growing the ASL community I thought I'd be nice to start a list of local ASL clubs and groups on a new post. I'm sure this is out there, but I don't have the time to go find out (as I have a gaming session in about 20 minutes).

If you're looking for an ASL group, there is a group of guys in Portland, OR that meets once per month as well as on weekends throughout the month for pick up games. We have some guys that drive 2-3 hours for a day of gaming (we play for at least 8 hours). If you're looking for a game or players and within driving distance, let me know and I'll send you our list serve information.

I usually get in at least two games per week with the group.

If you have local groups that meet regularly, or just some devoted ASLers in the same area, post off of this to see if we can start to find one another for face to face games.

For ASL in the Seattle area, join:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/psasl/

Posting a message to this group is a good way to get a game going.

We also have a website that is infrequently updated, but has some stuff on it:

http://www.psasl.org/

We don't have a standing meeting, but we do organize events infrequently. We usually have a presence at the local Seattle gaming cons, including a tournament at Conquest NW.

Always looking for new players of ASL or other board games!

I host a weekly game night in New York City, usually Tuesdays. We play all sorts of games, but ASL has pride of place. Drop me a geekmail message if you want to swing by.

Heh - I always struggle to name a favorite scenario. I'll play just about anything. I think the Friendly Fire guys in Sweden are putting out consistently good scenarios these days - you can't go too far wrong with one of theirs. The recent Journal has two or three from them, I think.

I usually like a lot of toys in play - different kinds of armor, a variety of terrain, etc. Combined arms is where the system shines, in my opinion.
Period-wise, I like early war best - crappy troops and tin cans!

Four cities in one website. Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston.
Also home of Banzai and Bonsai.

Gamedays every Saturday, in different cities. Rack up those freeway points and attend them all.
