If I trash a Copper Card playing the Moneylender card do I get a "3" Gold? or a "2" the Cost of the Silver?

I know this is a basic question, but I want to be sure.

Thanks.

Moneylender does not supply any actual card. You don't get a gold or a silver. You get 3 extra coin to spend that turn. It's just like playing a festival or market. No extra card, just extra money to buy with.

Hope this helps,

Tim

Ah-hah: Thank you Tim! That really clears it up for me.

And thanks for the fast reply.

Best regards,

My group calls it "golds", just so we can say stuff like "one gold is worth three golds but costs six golds, but one copper is worth one golds". We might be a little on the silly side.

I refer to +coin effects as 'virtual money' and that seems clear to my game group ...
