$218 - that's only 2 big-box games up here in Canada (like Age of Conan), or 4 other popular games (like Settlers, Arkham Horror, etc.). I could easily spend that if I had the money and only get 3 or 4 good games. :( Mind you, they would be well-purchased games!

Awesome, how did you like playing XXioXXX, is it cool or what? I would suggest for you to move to the next game, it's more advanced, try XXX to XXXing XXX, its more euro, in my opinion.

Anyways, love your choices wow

Too bad about Thunderstone..good luck with that.

Of those I bought, I've only played Cosmic Encounter and Formula D. Everything else is based on reviews and gut feeling. I really wavered on Thunderstone, as it seems to be a polarizing game. Some people say "It's Dominion, but fun!" and others say "It's no Dominion."

We'll see.

It would be great if you posted a review on Summoner Wars as it's one of the ones in my wishlist that I haven't played.
I'm so very jealous, my wife would never let me spend that much in one go, even if we won the lottery.

Enjoy them!

P.S. I have Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game waiting for me in the office as soon as I come back from China.

I refuse on principle to say how much I spent, but the last three weeks saw the following games on my porch:

Dungeon Lords
Excape
Fits
Ideology
Neuroshima Hex
Letter of Marque
Runewars
Campaign Manager 2008
Formula D
ASL Rulebook
Beyond Valor
Republic of Rome
Thunderstone
Battlelore: Heroes
Battlestar Galactica
Command and Colors: Ancients Expansions 4 & 5
Endeavor

I try not to buy anything for months before Christmas, so the post-holiday period is always brutal on my wallet...

We spent about $200 at our FLGS (Evolution Gaming in Eugene, OR) on Friday... not all board games though. Here's our list:

Tales of Arabian Nights
Cosmic Encounters: Cosmic Incursion Expansion
Magic the Gathering: Worldwake Fat Pack and 3 Worldwake Intro Packs
Forces of Warcmachine: Cygnar

Haven't played with anything but the Magic cards yet though

There we go! Of these, I can comment on In the Year of the Dragon (good, tense game) Farmers of the Moor (a nice change of pace that alters, but doesn't necessarily improve Agricola) Space Alert (wonderful game that takes some dedication to learn) Dominion Seaside (Yep, more Dominion. Good expansion) and Rise of Empires (YUCK.)

Well, I spent around $400 on games in the last month or so, myself. (sigh)

Small World
Small World - Cursed!
Small World - Grand Dames
Small World - Leaders
Hive
Gifttrap
Colosseum
RftG: Rebel vs. Imperium
Dominion: Intrigue
Dungeon Twister
War of the Ring
Notre Dame
Tales of the Arabian Nights
LotR: The Confrontation Deluxe Edition

I don't need thumbs, but some GeekGold would be nice so I can get the Microbadge for the next game I'm saving up for - the War of the Ring Collector's Edition! whistle
