If we're drifting toward maps, one of my favorite sites is Strange Maps. It always has odd stuff (and the latest entry is odder than most). Here are three of Europe:

Alcohol: Blue, spirits; brown, beer (in the general sense); red, wine. All the cultural hoo-ha aside, people drink what's grown in their area, presumably because it's cheaper:


This rough map shows how this parallels the divides between northern and southern Europe.


Probably if I looked long enough, I could find similar US maps on the site.
