I have the boardgame but have been teaching myself first on the excellent michaelschact.net online version and will play the actual boardgame next weekend with 2 human opponents. Here is a question I have from playing the online version:

Q. If I end my turn with 3 goods markers, the computer always removes one of them during one of the computer opponent's turns, leaving me with just 2 goods markers the following turn. Is there a rules reason this happens that I haven't found in the rulebook, or maybe it's a software bug?

(Edit: Modified the Subject line to better reflect the issue.)

Re: Question: Taxation removes one of my 3 goods markers in the online version - is that in the rules?
If the computer shipped goods that match a color of goods that you have been hoarding, you lose one of those goods. You get to choose the good token to discard, but I think the Java version just dumps your lowest value token (since that is the best decision).

Or, if you are hoarding more than 3 tokens at the end of your turn you have to discard down to 3.

Or, there is a bug that I haven't seen in my games against the Java client.

That's it, thanks. I overlooked the rule in the rulebook where players lose a good that matches the color that someone else sells. That adds a little more planning strategy to the game. Thanks for letting me know, and for the very fast responses!
