Has anyone tried creating a solitaire variant of this game?

I'm thinking that with the VP-clock for Japan, there might be a way to create a solitaire game out of this classic (either Japan or US has to win by certain number turns?).

For the non-human opposing side, I'm wondering if adding randomly-drawn reinforcement cards (like Fortress America) or a queue of pre-programmed naval builds (like Victory in the Pacific or Axis & Allies: D-Day) could be used in such a solitaire variant?

I don't think there's a single Pacific theater of operations solitaire game out there, and so it would be nice to see something adapted in the Axis & Allies family of games...

Any thoughts?
