Call for Playtesters
This is a formal call for playtesters for Next War: Korea, GMT's future conflict game covering a potential war on the Korean Peninsula. This game is based largely on the previous GMT release Crisis: Korea 1995.
The game features the same Standard and Advanced Rules concept as previously, albeit with some unique new twists, a Game Specific Rules pertaining particularly to Korea, an updated Order of Battle, and loads of charts and tables. In addition, the map has been updated although the playing area has been reduced to represent the major terrain over which campaigns will be fought as well as increasing the hex size to accommodate the 9/16" counters.
There are several smaller Standard Game scenarios, a Standard Campaign Game scenario, and three flavors of the Advanced Game (Tactical Surprise, Strategic Surprise, and Extended Buildup). In addition, the Advanced Game includes a method for determining International involvement from other interested parties. As a bonus, the Advanced Game also includes a resurrected Air War scenario wherein players can game out just the air campaign over a series of turns.
Playtesting will begin soon using a VASSAL module created by Joel Toppen. If you are interested in assisting us in this endeavor, please send an email to me at (email@example.com).
Please include your contact information, time zone, and a short blurb on any previous playtesting experience.
