I believe Decision Games still owns the copyrights to the old SPI games; you can contact them and see.

Considering that this design is a rather dated "What If" game, and there are many SPI titles in higher demand that Decision can choose from, I would put it on the "highly doubtful" list.

I can't recall if CCW was on the list of games to which DG acquired the rights. Even if it were, I think there woudl abe a lot of titles on the list ahead of it.

A straight republishing would not be helpful either; in the 30+ years since this was published a lot has changed in Canada. The systems in the game would also need to be overhauled - a primary argument against this game was that it went on forever.

There is one other game on the subject, Stephen Newberg's Quebec Libre
(http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/7379/quebec-libre). Again, a product of the 70s.

Hi Jeremy,

Well, first off I would recommend my own War Plan Crimson (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/11277/war-plan-crimso...) in which the grandfathers of certain know-it-alls heave north in the late 1930s to teach us the values of untrammeled free speech and quality private-sector health care, Or Else. (snicker)

There are a few geeklists that feature Canada and Canadians:

Both Canadian Civil War and Quebec Libre are hard to find; I've never played Poleconomy but that's easier to get. I have Cabinet Minister (for trade) which is about Canadian politics as well.

I'm really interested in it. Is there any chance it will be republished?

Are you interested in this game in and of itself, or in games that portray political contests?

Saw 'Canadian Civil War' on some other site- wow, wish I could play this again. My copy got destroyed over 20 years ago in the trunk of my car, along with a few others that you can't get now...
