Does anyone know why an ebay icon seems to have attached itself to BGG on my laptop? I have the BGG site open but instead of a BGG icon on the webpage tab there is one for ebay, there is also one next to the httpp address at the top of the webpage and next to BGG in my favourites!

Is it just me?

It's rather sinister and I don't like it!

That happened to me a few months back, probably after I opened eBay from within BGG (though I've done it plenty of times since, and it hasn't happened, so I can't say for sure exactly how it happened). It went away after a while. (I deleted the bookmark and re-did it, and that didn't help, it just went away on its own).

EDIT:

Here's the screenshot I took and used in my post at the time:

I've noticed that BGG's favicon is easily overwritten. If I visit F:AT is overwrites the favicon, and a few other sites. But it's only BGG that does it on my nav bar. I have a feeling BGG is caching it somehow and not clearing it when the page is loaded. Or they are using the default favicon name name with a relative path, which could be giving it a timing issue with other sites.

Is this part of F:AT's sinister plan to obliterate BGG from the interweb?

F:AT is not competing with BGG.
It was founded by Matt Thrower.
Michael Barnes didn't leave BGG, he was banned from it.

I'll concede I don't know all the details of who started F:AT but if both sites have content that is at least partially the same they are competing.
