Puerto Rico Overtakes Agricola!

PR was there first after all, just regaining it's crown. PR is definitely the better game and should have never lost it's spot.

For anyone thinking the screen capture image may be a fake here are the rankings....

Recently Puerto Rico and Agricola swapping is like the weather. If you don't like the current #1 wait a day and it'll change.

you sure you don't live in New England

But yea, you do have to literally wait a day as BGG only re-computes the rankings in a nightly cron job (not sure if the BGG rating is or not).

Personally I think Power Grid should be #1 or at least #2, it's definitely better than Agricola

Actually, I'm more impressed that Twilight Struggle is holding at #3 than the flip-flop of Puerto Rico and Agricola at the top. Sure, they're both ok games -- but Twilight Struggle is awesome.

Puerto Rico first reclaimed the #1 spot on 1/19/10. The games have changed places at least 10 times since.

So what if someone else actually cares about it? There are also people who care about the rarity of certain goat species in the Andes, and people who care about stamps on letters from various countries. And a lot more people that don't care about either, but do they really need to shout it out all the time? Let people with other interests chit-chat away. I fail to see the issue.

Actually, and still unsurprisingly, I do give a shit. Honest. I am a true fan of the rankings.

Well, he hasn't rated it, and he has marked it "haven't played, want to play".

Seems like a reasonable conclusion.

No, it doesn't. At all. People use the system however they want to, and large numbers of BGG users have no interest in rating their collections or maintaining any record of plays.

Just to settle this:
I have played PR a few times (roughly 4 or 5 I guess), however those plays were before I started recording plays on BGG. I'm hoping to play it again in the near future with my gaming group. Nowadays I record most of my plays, but I'm quite far off recording all my plays accurately, I've become a bit lazy with Dominion especially since I play it so much!

Also I just worked out what OP meant

Alas, as of 6:37 pm PST, Feb 19th, Agricola is number one again. Stupid farmers. Someone must have started playing with their animeeples and changed their vote.

There's no "haven't played" option, just "want to play". I at least routinely mark things "want to play" which I have played because I'm hoping to play them soon. Helps make me remember games that I might otherwise forget.
