hello there

on the student tiles, at the bottom, you've got the talents you can earn.
BUT it's no always clear how much you can take :

1) when there is only one symbol, it's only one. that's clear.
BUT

2) sometimes you've got a number and the talent, and sometime a "x" symbol. Are they differents ?

for exemple [2 "politic"] is the the same as [X2 "Politics"] ?

Some of the tiles do not have the "x" printed but functionally they are the same as the ones with the "x".

I could be wrong because I don't have the game here with me but I think the rule to follow is [politics x 2] = [politics 2], that is to say i think the multiplier comes after the symbol.

hug..so why is there two different ways for the same things ?

and do you count the number before or after the talent ? if would say before, but sometimes you've got only one talent with the number after it....

The quality of the game is pretty lacking, be it in these misprinted details or the general quality of the materials used (I asked for a replacement board as mine was just plain wrecked, the replacement board was only slightly better)

I've now verified this and the multipliers are AFTER the number so if you had for example this: [politics] 2 [sports] 3 [arts]

It would mean you'd get 2 politics, 3 sports and 1 arts.

I got bored of mixing this up, so I took a black permanent marker and drawed in the "x"s myself.

The game itself is alright, but it could've gone through more playtesting and material quality control. As it stands I play it for the anime theme of which there aren't many games available.

I think that the game 7 was a redo of Saigo no Kane. Not sure if it improves the original in the ways you want it to.

It says it's cooperative so I don't know about the similarities. Saigo isn't a bit cooperative

Regardless the game looks pretty good, and the materials seem better too.

i've been checking all the student tiles and i came to this conclusion:

you've got to read them from right to left !

this way, everything seems make sense.

Yes, that's what I meant to say but I guess I complicate my explanations too much ^^;
