I am very happy to see somebody excited about AGoT again. It kinda fell off the map for a while.

If you are talking about the 3P version, it's junk IMO. Stark has the run of the place while Lannister and Baratheon still fight it out for KL. It might be better if one of the non-stark players took control of the Greyjoy army during battle and if they Greyjoy army grew when mustering happened. It is too easy for Stark to run down and play his Winter is Coming card. Also since bidding for the throne, sword are crow are worthless to Stark, he can save all his power for bidding on the claim track.

In all the games we have played, Stark is unstoppable and don't even need to use a house card for the entire game. Even if Red and Yellow ally to fight Stark. They come up short because they have to back stab each other to win, so the inevitably end up fighting each other.

We like to play a 1v1 mini game where red has to hold KL. That is more fun than the 3P game.

Red has to get to 6 while keeping KL, Yellow has to sack KL. Red get an extra footman on KL to start. And red gets 3 power on turn 2 to simulate trading Eddard. It is normally about a 4 to 5 turn game and only takes about 30 minutes.
