Thanks to those who voted in the Top 10 round which you can see -> here. 53 users participated with a total of 409 votes cast!
The Crime genre has been notable for the outstanding quality of the movies - the Top 25 was fantastic, the Top 10 the cream. So what made the cut for the Top 5?
The Golden Age of Crime movies throughout these polls has been the 90s. Five of the Top 10 were from the 90s - but only two of them made the cut for the Top 5. Shawshank Redemption, Reservoir Dogs and Fight Club all went out. As did the most recent movie in the Top 10, The Dark Knight. Also making the Top 5 are two films from the 70s and one from the 50s.
An early indicator of the eventual winner is the films with the most "Best" ratings. Here are the Top 10 sorted by most 'Best' ratings:
15 Pulp Fiction (1994)
15 The Godfather (1972)
14 Rear Window (1954)
11 The Usual Suspects (1995)
10 The Sting (1973)
9 12 Angry Men (1957)
7 The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
7 Reservoir Dogs (1992)
7 The Dark Knight (2008)
6 Fight Club (1999)
The top 2 again remain the same, but with Rear Window being a new entry at #3. Reservoir Dogs and Fight Club, both fall as the competition hots up, contributing to them missing the cut.
In this next poll I have narrowed it down to the Top 5 based on average ratings. To calculate this I awarded points for each rating: Best (4), Awesome (3), Great (2), Good (1), Okay (0).
The Top Ten based on average rating for the last round are:
The Godfather (1972)
Pulp Fiction (1994)
Rear Window (1954)
The Usual Suspects (1995)
The Sting (1973)
12 Angry Men (1957)
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
Reservoir Dogs (1992)
Fight Club (1999)
The Dark Knight (2008)
Pulp Fiction and The Godfather return to the top after a relatively poor showing in the Top 25, dumping Reservoir Dogs and Fight Club out of the Top 5, but with The Sting, Rear Window and The Usual Suspects staying in.
Average scores are unbelievably close for these five movies (2.9 to 2.7!), but this will be the first poll where they all go up against each other - will one of them emerge triumphant? Or will we end up having to have another round after this one?
The last 5 now go up against each other in the final climactic shoot-out. If we get a clear winner then this will be the last poll, but if 2 or 3 of them are close then there will be another round. Here we go:

Okay, I'm stopping the fight at this point, voting has slowed down and we have a clear winner.
After 31 voters (a lot less than normal) the average scores are:
2.8 The Godfather (1972)
2.5 Rear Window (1954)
2.1 Pulp Fiction (1994)
1.9 The Usual Suspects (1995)
1.9 The Sting (1973)
The Usual Suspects has beaten The Sting on average score in 3 of the 4 previous polls (though they are always close) so it takes 4th spot.
Heres the Top 100:
