Hello,

maybe you can help me with some rules questions.

1. Can a Xeno move diagonally through a open door?

2. Can a marine move diagonally (sideslip) through a open door?

3. The rule for Interruption Attacks reads:
"Interruption Attacks: APs not spent during the Marine Phase
can be spent by the Human Player as “interruption” actions during the
Xeno Phase. It costs 1 AP to interrupt with an Attack (8.3.1), Spin
Attack (8.4), or Throw Grenade (8.5) and this can be done a
maximum of one time per square of Xeno Movement."

Can two (or more) marines interrupt a xeno per square of Xeno Movement?
Example: A Xeno comes around a corner and moves 1 square into LOS of two marines.

Can both marines now interrupt the Xeno (with each marine using 1 AP)?

4. If the answer to #3 above is "yes"; can the second marine wait and see the result of the first Interrupt Attack BEFORE having to decide if he will interrupt too?

5. I think the example on page 4 has an error:
"Bates could spend 1 AP to make a Spin Attack (5.4) against the Blaster, but would then ONLY ROLL ONE d6 (his Ranged Attack value of 2 minus 1 for
the Spin Attack action; 8.4) and would need a 3+ to Hit (i.e. to exceed the range of 2; 1 + 1 for the Spin Attack; 8.4)."

The -1 combat die penalty, as I understand it, is only used when making an INTERRUPT Spin Attack, not when making a normal one, right?

Thank you!

Fred

Yes, and yes.

No and no. Only 1 AP can be spent per square of Xeno movement. That's just enough to act with one Marine.

Yes, the example is in error. Doh! That's completely my fault. We made a change fairly late to the way Spin Attacks worked, and while I thought we made all the proper changes... we didn't. My apologies!
