I am looking to pick up C&C:A but was wondering what the differences between the printings are so i know if i am missing out on anything by getting a 2nd or 1st edition.

I think the latest edition comes with a mounted map. The first edition had a cardboard map.

The 3rd printing has the mounted map and the most up-to-date rules, which can be found online also.

I'd strongly recommend you get 3rd edition, even if you have to pay more for it.

Yes, it has a mounted map (and printed on the back as well, so you are half-way to being able to do Epic games). The rules are much updated too.
2nd edition rules have some fixes over 1st but some glitches of their own. while 3rd aren't perfect,they are better, and include add-on rules from the other expansions, so you get everything in 1 book.
