It's conclusive. 100% of those polled at the time of this post believe that pie is better than cake.

I can't answer!! It depends on the pie or cake!!!

Tiramisu? Cake
Homemade Pecan Pie? Pie
Homemade Cheese cake? Cake (or is it really a pie?)
Grocery store sheet cakes or pies? Pie

However, ice cream would be my choice, hands down over both!!

OMG!! Especially Publix's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream.....the BEST!!!!!

Someone once said - "Let them eat cake!" and for that she lost her head.

Had she said - "Let them eat pie!" she would have started the longest line of successive rulers beloved by the people of all the lands.

So choose wisely friends; choose very wisely!

Some of my favorite desserts are cakes....including my current 'absolute' favorite.

BUT, there are more varieties of pie that I love than varieties of cake that I enjoy, so I voted pie.

I'm content with that decision, and need think about it no more.

-Zero.

I keep this written on a slip of paper in my wallet in case of amnesia:

warm pie + ice cream > good ice cream > pie > crappy ice cream > cake > nothing

I'm not quite sure where ice cream cake fits in there yet.

If you've had the ice cream cakes I make, then right at the beginning.

I don't eat a lot of sweets... For pie, a good homemade pecan or apple pie is delightful... but I will have that maybe once a year on a holiday.

I voted cake but mostly for mini-cupcakes that my girl makes for our Bring Your Own Restaurant. They have become the stuff of legend in the area. German chocolate, mocha, coconut lime, red velvet, 2X chocolate, lemon poppy seed with lemon frosting ... all vegan and bite sized. I never thought vegan baking was that great but these offerings are the best cakes I have ever eaten.
