Greetings fellow Geekdoers. I would like to take a shot at running a Swords & Wizardry Play by Post game. Here is a quick rundown of the basics.

- Rules used: S&W WhiteBox - you can download the PDF at http://bravehalfling.com/?p=590
- 6 player slots
- Must be able to post AT LEAST twice a day between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM EST (weekdays only)
- 4D6 and arrange as desired for stats
- Max hit points at first level.

Contact me with any additional questions.

Are you sure you'll use 4d6? 3d6 in order is what I usually use when playing S&W...

...in any case, I believe I'll be able to join, but I can't commit posting during weekends. Would the be acceptable?

I like the 'arrange as you like' option to give players more flexibility. There is no real great advantage to high stats in S&W so I don't think it causes any balance issues.

Posting will be from M to F only so no worry about the weekends.

Where would the game actually run? On the Geekdo message board?

Might I recommend a Yahoo Group based game instead? It allows play-by-email and has fewer ads and distractions.

I'm interested so sign me up please.

You can find info about yahoo groups here:

http://groups.yahoo.com/

Or there's google groups too at:

http://groups.google.com/

Either are free and have an option to email postings to members automatically...

But wherever the game ends up I'd like to play though I've never done PbP before it seems like it would be straightforward enough. I'll watch here for details/info

If you can't get enough players, there are lot's of places (http://pbem2.com, some PBEM specific Yahoo groups, etc.) to do recruiting.

Might I suggest setting up a Yahoo group with a short name (maybe "Bywater" or whatever name -- it shows up in the email titles so shorter is better) and post it to this group?

:-)

Ok. I have created a Google group for the game. Anyone interested can send an email with the subject 'Bywater PbP' to roberson.anthony@gmail.com and I will get you added to the group. More details to follow!
