1. Observe your opponents cards carefully and try to place cards that will block their ability to lay tiles while allowing you to continue to lay tiles.

2. Try to lay tiles that move toward the playing area edges or curve around toward dead ends (box canyons) if you have fewer cards than your opponents. The game ends when no one can lay a tile.

3. Try to lay tiles that move away from the playing area edges or dead end "box canyons" if you have more cards than your opponents so that you may continue to lay tiles and hopefully end up with less than your opponents before the end of the game.
