Government Officials from the Death Panels will be coming around to your house later this week. I think they are slated to visit Republicans first. Good luck!

The crappy version has passed passed. The reconciliation bill has to be voted on by the Senate to take up the better House version. The Republicans are going to try to insist that the better House version be changed to put back in some of the crappy stuff from the original Senate version (that they previously were vehemently against like the bribes for LA and NE) so that it gets bounced back to the House and killed.

It's passed passed. The Senate will vote on a reconcilation bill in the near future to make some changes to it, but the Senate version of the HCR bill is now officially law once Obama signs it.

And I hope that tactic works. The Dems went pretty low to get this thing passed. The Republicans are merely stooping to their level.

I thought the same thing earlier this evening, but I really don't know much about politics, so I disregarded the thought.

A- Some teabaggers were the first ones to refer to themselves as teabaggers (though they didn't realize the other meaning)

B- What is disgusting about teabagging? Why so intolerant towards a beautiful act of intimacy?

The Supreme Court rarely declares laws unconstitutional for violating the Tenth Amendment.

//Good luck with that.

This is great day, a dawning of a new and glorious paradise. The biggest winner is the Federal gov't, in particular, the IRS which is now tasked to enforce this new insurance mandate. Who here thinks that they will be competent to enforce this? Who here thinks the Federal gov't should set the amount of reimbursement rate? What happens when the reimbursement rate stays the same or is cut? Where will the doctors go? (Hint: They either quit medicine or move to another country) Do you like seeing a mid level providers all the time? Do you all think that that everyone will be treated the same, comrades? Yes, you wanted it, you got it.

If doctors didn't quit or emigrate in mass when their PI insurance premiums went up 2000% I doubt many would quit over this. "We're all going to quit" seems like the go to response for anything they don't like.

I find the idea extremely hilarious though.

"Looking for work. Brain surgeon with 30 years experience seeking work in a non-medical related field due to actions of facsist socialist federal government. Cannot use computer but can write short undeciperable notes. Handicap of 3. Willing to take anything."

OK there was a lot of thread about Health Care.
Which I didn't read at all, of course.

When learning than Obama passed this law, I though it was good news.

Given the reaction of some americans (Like Doug who posted above), they seem to saw this as a bad news. (You will never make me believe an american use 'communist' in a positive way).

As a Fromage-qui-pue nonamerican, I wonder :
Isn't the purpose of that law to help 32 millions of american to have access to hospital and medicamentation even if they are poor ?
If yes, why this is a bad thing. If no, what this law change compared to the previous Health Care method ?

I don't say it's a good/bad thing, but for the first time I'm really interested about what this all is about. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Well, here in texas it will only refer to the political party. Because that's the way in texas... we're truthy.
