Thanks to two generous geeks, I was able to get my avatar a day or two earlier than I otherwise would have. I'm sure I'll be going through the 'settling down' period over the next few weeks, but this is what I chose as my initial avatar. It says 'Ami Geek'. Ami is German slang for American. Like the word geek, it can be used affectionately as well as insultingly.

It's kind of a synthesis between American and German, which is what I'm all about. Love my country (not in a concieted way, but it is my homeland), but also love Germany (the board games, the culture, the architecture, the food, the language). I speek American English, but I also speak German (once fluently).

1 GG to the first person to identify the particular font I used.

I'll find a way to gift the other gold once I get my gold from the picutres tonight.

It's obviously some derivative of the Suetterlin German handwriting style. Do I have to figure out which one, or is Suetterlin all you were looking for?

Four years of highschool German classes have not gone to waste! Woo!

Judges?
Ok, close enough I guess. <<BING>> I was looking for Kurrent. Suetterlin was based off of it, but they are VERY similar.

I was actually at a website looking at both the Kroeburn and Kurrent variations of Suetterlin.. I would have had it guessed momentarily!

Very tricky question.. I fear what you might be asking for your future GG prizes!
