I have a copy of the 1st edition WotC game in shrinkwrap and I am trying to sell it. A potential buyer told me he did not think that it had metal bots and only the 2nd editon did.

Here is the one I have:

I always thought both had the pewter pieces, but I can't take the shrinkwrap off to find out. Can anyone help?? Thanks!

Yes, both had metal robot pieces. The figures in the 2nd edition changed a bit from 1st edition though - primarily, the robots that required assembly in 1st edition were replaced with single-piece figures in 2nd edition.

First edition bots:

Second edition bots:

Most obvious difference: second edition does not contain the wheel-shaped bot.

The first edition had pewter bots. The second had zinc bots.
I've owned both.
