Proposal so far:

10 Apr The Napoleonics War &/or Wellington (HOSTED AND WELL RECEIVED)

20 Apr Successors III
First May meeting Pax Romana

VI Other idea/events to be organised by members (subject to change without further notice)

(A) Napoleonics
After co-operated with CityU WAGS Weekend Board Game Gathering (CityU WAGS) for the soccer game Day in City University, Christopher Chu had another game proposal to be held in the Multi-purpose Room of City University. He wanted to book the Multi-purpose Room to play 15mm Napoleonic Wargames using Napoleon's Battles Rules System.

The room can be locked up overnight. We can play over the whole weekend (i.e. from Friday to Sunday afternoon) there.

He considered we need time to plan for this large-scale battle, tentatively, the game will be held there on the last Saturday of June because it takes 3 months to book the room.

James Cheung, Hermann Ng, Philip Ngo & Christopher are highly likely to participate. Survey posted on our forum had received responses from other members such as Alex Lam and Lawrence Ho.

He wanted to fight on a historical scenario from 1811 --1813, because most of the models of his friends are within this period.

So if you are interested, please contact Christopher at christopchu@hotmail.com

(B) Flames of Wars Operation Bagration Campaign

Frankie Li and Christopher Chu are interested to organise the following campaign:

Good afternoon everyone,

Would like to see how many people would be interested in playing the below over the course of the year?
I've discussed this with Chu Sir briefly at Fun Atelier a while back. We certainly have the troops and terrain for massive games of Soviets v. Germans.

http://www.flamesofwar.com/hobby.aspx?art_id=1085

The campaign will be based in and around Operation Bagration, I propose we nominate 2 Supreme Russian & German Commanders (NOT IT!). I will play the role of a neutral referee & organizer and occasional German Company Commander, Frankie is hoping a thematic game run over the course of the year will see more Flames of War games being played at the club over the year.

2.Army lists must be submitted allocating all elements including baggage to a command. They must specify the number of ME and the disheartened/broken/shattered levels for each command and for the whole army. The list must indicate the aggression factor and year. Once an army list has been submitted it may not be changed or altered other than to correct any errors. Players may only correct their errors by making reasonable changes to their list. It is not allowed to completely re-write the list, and the list checkers decision on this is final.
3.Any incorrect list discovered after a game has commenced (after “aggression” dice have been rolled) must be corrected prior to the next match.
4.Lists should be sent to the list checker (ideally via Email). The list checker can only respond to queries in connection with Army Lists.
5.No inert/brilliant general or any stratagem is allowed.
6.To simplify matters again and allow a bigger army, I suggest discounting the additional cost for being the General Element completely, just cost his element. Therefore, the cost of the general will be just the cost of his element.
7.Players should supply their own table cloth and area feature terrain pieces, which must be no more than 400p across, though I can provide some terrain piece at the competition.
8.Players must be present and ready to start all matches at the appointed time. Where a player has a reasonable excuse for arriving late the match start will be delayed by up to 15 minutes.
9.If a player resigns from a game at any stage after the first “aggression” dice have been rolled their opponents will be awarded maximum points.
10.Matches will continue until the end of the current pair of bounds when time is called.

TRAVELLING INFORMATION

(A) HITEC Centre, Kowloon Bay, Kowloon
I would suggest you to go to the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) Station. Then travel by MTR to Kowloon Bay Station (about 40 minutes). Then you can either go there by the Shuttle Bus at Telford Plaza 2 (next to Kowlon Bay MTR Station) or travel by taxi (should be less than HK$40, about 10 minutes by taxi, about 15 minutes by shuttle bus, excluding the time waiting for the shuttle bus which is free of charge). The transportation information of HITEC can also be> found on its website: http://www.hitec.com.hk/en/hitec_transport.htm
Of course, you can travel by taxi directly. The venue itself (at one of the room at 7/F) is available on 12:30 but we usually arrive at 1:00 to 1:30. You can check the exact room no. upon arrival with the poster stand (we are allocated different room sometime).
