Hi everyone,

Someone asked me where to Ra in The Netherlands. Because it is such a great game I went looking. And because the asker might not be the only one interested, and because others might want to add experiences or other interesting comments, I publish my answer as a journal.

I have absolutely no experience with online dutch stores. I did a search on internet an found some internet shops that sell ra:

See if you can tempt one of them to ship abroad. You should not pay more than 25 euro's for the game, but I don't know anything about shipping charges.

Greetings,

Sander

I'll go ahead and vouch for gameforce <http://www.gfmailorder.nl>; That's where I picked up my copy of Ra, along with Big City and La Citta.

They were very easy to work with, and after I set up my account, they calculated shipping on my order automatically. After the order was placed, they kept in touch and shipped promptly, and more importantly, packed my games up so they were not damaged in transit.

I suggest hitting a coffeeshop in Amsterdam and Ra-ing your head off.

That's a great list of links for all BGG's to consider when looking for more options to purchase games. Sometimes I think we are a little too short-sighted when we search for games. I think a lot of games are much more available than we think...we often just don't look around enough and end up paying through the nose because they are percieved to be scarce while a lot of copies are just collecting dust sitting on shelves all over the world.

dutch editions
Thanks darren!

I have to say I cannot think of any other games but Ra that are currently only available in the dutch edition. El Grande is still available in dutch, but adamspielt also sells the german one. A list of most of the more prominent eurogames that are available in dutch can be found at

Greetings,
