I have built wharf and warehouse.
In 'Captain' phase, if all cargo ships are full, can I keep my goods in hand instead of placing them on wharf, because I want to sell goods later?

Anyone can help to answer my question? Thanks!

The use of buildings is always optional.

I can't think of very many situations that this would work out to your benefit.

But if you decide to use the wharf, you must do it at full capacity, i.e., you cannot keep any barrel of the kind you shipped.

Aye, the only one I can think of is to save your coffee in a storehouse for selling it later.

Or any good for that matter. If you have but one of a good, but need one more coin to buy a building, shipping the good may not be the most beneficial. However, it would need to be your last type of good and able to be sold to make it useful.

If you need cash, and in possession of some coffee, for example, you might want to pass on shipping that coffee into a wharf to save it for trading.
