I suspect the results for England's Group C are a bit out of whack with what the real world results will be! The USA should beat both Slovenia AND Algeria and I'd also bet we'll put up an excellent fight vs. England in our first match. Of all the "top tier" regular World Cup teams (Argentina, France, England, Germany, Italy, Brazil, Spain, and the Netherlands), I see England as the team the USA is most likely to Draw with or even upset - that doesn't mean I think that the odds of that are terribly high but they're very much higher than I think our odds are of doing that against other teams.

I'd guess we either lose by a slim margin to England or tie them, then win our other 2 games to move on.

Cool results you had here though not terribly realistic. How cool would it be for Australia to win the World Cup??!

I agree the results are not entirely realistic, but I was the only one who played the game before, I think the balance of power was on my favor. However, the game is so easy to grasp that by the second or third (at most) game the players have a better idea of which cards to play and when to do it. Usually, after the game is over, I comment some of the card plays they've made, and this surely enhances their next games.

Now, if the Socceroos win the World Cup, I wouldn't be disappointed. They had shown good skills on the field, and it's one of the underdogs I'd like to see advance to the final stages.

I'd love to, Michael, but a trip to another continent is yet on my "Things to Do Before Dying", and the list is long, expensive, and I don't have the money.

I hope you all host the best World Cuup ever, but I will only able to watch it on my TV screen.

Agreed - they were mightily ripped off by the rampant dive at the end of the last World Cup's game against Italy. Probably one of the most egregious and blatant examples of cheating (other than Thiery Henry's recent handball for France!) that I've seen allowed in a soccer match. What a joke that was...just proved (to me, anyway) what many have said about FIFA's favoritism to be very accurate (unfortunately).
