Big fun. Very tense. You can never be sure what your opponent can do to you next. Come from WAY behind wins are possible.

Very much so!

This has become the game of choice for my son and I. Right from the initial set up, you are faced with tough choices (which cards to resource and which to keep). Each turn you are faced with many other tough choices. Even if one player gets ahead, you feel that with the right situation, you can turn things around.

In short: very tense, many possible strategies, lots of fun, win or lose.

"This is a really weird game, and you’ll find that most people will not want to play this."

Cthulhu is not "fun."
Cthulhu evokes abject terror.
Do you want abject terror?

Abject terror indeed, humble Geekster, but that's not the whole of it. For there 'neath the facade of the cards and a mere "game" lurks the impatient and brooding forces of the nameless ancient ones, malignant and blasphemous, biding their time and drawing on the power of aeons, soon to burst asunder, in guises both nebulous and unfathomable, into our unsuspecting world... some say through the mouth of an active volcano... All clearly predicted in the Chapter 15, paragraphs 3-9 of Al-Hazred's fabled and feared Necronomicon.

Next time you play Call of Cthulhu.. and you hear no sound of aircraft above you... and a layer of ash descends on your town... be reminded of this dire warning!
