Just want to clarify that when zombies are attracted by shooting the zombie is placed in relationship to where the shot was fired, not where the survivor finished its move.

Gotcha.

Also, the check is one d6 for each shot with a 4-6 spawning a new zombie?

*whistles* It's almost not worth shooting. 5-6 is mostly worth it, but 6 is WAY to easy of course.

The only thing worse than attracting too many zombies with too much shooting is dying with a loaded gun.

Yes 4-6 for zeds.

In the minis rules

Urban 4-6 zeds
Suburbs 5-6 zeds
Rural 6 zeds

But when you enter a building the chance of a survivor being found doubles in the suburbs and triples in the rural area.

Ok, this makes me VERY interested in the minis game.

Three quick questions.
- Does ATZ:BDtZ have big weapon and character lists?
- Is it basically a self running RPG simulator?
- Does it include some nice bits/cards to print off?

I live in a small town and sometimes I have to play by myself.

Yes, ATZ has a large selection of classes as well as specific Reaction Tests based on class. More weapons as well.

It does have large elements of RPG and the opposition does run itself.

Nothing needed to print except the reference sheets if you want. There is a deck of cards coming out that can be used with the game but is not necessary.

Man, I'd love to use those minis rules. Played my first game (scenario one) today after getting the game yesterday. Of course, Tonya finds a shotgun in the first building. So, everytime she fires, six dice get rolled for zombie spawning. In just a few turns, the board is SWARMING with zombies. And, only one board is being used, so it's not like there's anywhere to run. And, of course, Beck pulls three straight "empty" cards when searching buildings for an additional weapon. They're eventually overwhelmed in a corner of the board, although I'd like to think, in real life, they just would have said "f--- it" and sprinted off the board and Tonya would have given Beck her pistol ....
