I don't have access to the rulebook right now. Am I right that it is always the russian player that reveals his card first?

If you are talking about the headline phase then both reveal simultaneously. In the action phase, the USSR player plays first.

Headlines are chosen and revealed simultaneously, with the higher-OPs card triggering first.

The Soviet plays first each action round. This is completely resolved, then the US chooses a card to play.

Did this answer your question?

EDIT: Too slow, fatso, for me.

Sure you do...

Headline cards are played simultaneously, and then put into effect based on higher Ops value (USA first, if tied). Action rounds are always played: USSR before USA.

Edit: Too slow, but I did provide a link laugh

Are you talking about the headline phase? Or the action rounds?

Off the top of my head:

In the headline phase, both playing choose a card, and only reveal them (simultaneously) once each has chosen (unless one player gains the ability to see his opponent's headlines before choosing his own from the Space Race Track). In the event of tied events (e.g., both players headline a 2 Ops card), the USA player's event is resolved first (this includes scoring cards.

During the action rounds, timing isn't an issue, since play alternates.

Hope that helps.

BTW, you can download an electronic copy of the rules from the GMT website.

Oh? Did not know that GMT games offer their rules online?! I remember one time I needed a rulebook for Combat Commander and did not find it on their page. Nevermind, thanks for all those informations and the digital rulebook!

You mean these?

They don't always provide playbooks/scenario books online, but they usually give out rulebooks like candy. Sweet addictive candy.

Wow. Only in the TS forums do I ever see multiple people responding (in addition to the OP responding three times) ALL within the same hour.
