Looking for a series that includes 3+ installments and/or a variety of scenarios that can be layed in 5 hours or less. Rules should not exceed 30 or so pages. Examples of what I have include Close Action, Jours de Gloire, Napoleonic battle Series...what else is out there?

There are lots of series in the wargame arena. What periods are you interested in? What level of action are you interested in (strategic, operational or tactical)?

Uhhh....

You mean like ATS, PG, SWWAS, GBoH, ... I guess ASL is too many rules.

I can very much recommend the Battles of the American Revolution series by GMT. 5 games (and 2 more to come in a few months), easy rules, short playing time, lots of fun.

The Standard Combat Series by the Gamers (and later MMP) has simple-to-play mechanics and has many games covering very diverse battles from WW1 to modern.

Check out the link.

Memoir '44 is quick and simple, and has plenty of expansions.

I'm just getting into the World at War series (Lock n' Load). Rulebook is small, but there is still a lot of depth, several expansions/additions with more on the way.

I second June's recommendation of the SCS by The Gamer's and MMP. I own a couple of them and they are first rate.

Also the Civil War Brigade Series by the same folks is also very good and a favorite. I own 11 of those titles. Probably takes more than 5 hours though to complete an entire battle start to finish. They do come with smaller scenarios.

I second the World at War series. Light on rules, but not light in depth of play. Fast moving games and addictive system.

ASL might be but the Starter Kits would qualify.

Actually are there many series games that really do not qualify after ASL and FoW? OCS even has some smaller scenario's althought the RB may not meet the criteria.

As someone mentioned The Battles of the American Revolution from GMT is good and you can get 3 of them on sell for around $25 each at Wargame Depot. 2 more are on the GMT P500 list and can be pre-ordered at a big discount. The other 2 can be found on e-bay though I think the Guilford game is getting hard to find and can get expensive. But 5 of the 7 can be bought cheaply and each one will be in their own box which helps storage.

You could find sub-3 hour scenarios in most if not all of the panzer Grenadier series. You could also find plenty that took far longer...

I went to e-bay after posting above and bought GMT's out of print Guilford in shrink for $28 so if you have any interest in the American Revolution these games are very reasonably priced.
