Just wanted to know if there are any expansions planned for the future?
India, Southeast Asia, Africa, Japan? Thanks to anyone who can answer.

Those are great suggestions, I'd particularly like to see Africa and Japan, but how about the rest of South America and Australia? British Isles? Scandinavia? A lot of the Earth isn't getting powered up and needs the Grid!!

It appears that the designer usually requires a little incentive to produce an expansion. His current expansions were triggered by publishers in the related countries requesting it.

So call up your favorite publisher in Africa and tell them to get on the ball.

For the last few years, FF has been publishing 1 expansion per year, so I expect a new map at this year's Essen.

If you can't wait that long, you can always print out one of the fan-designed maps; see The definitive list of Power Grid boards.

Scandinavia, the British Isles, and Japan would get my vote for next maps. Wouldn't mind seeing one of South Africa either!

I think an India one would be really interesting, as would some of the African nations (or the whole continent)! I'd also like Japan and/or the British Isles (including Ireland) too!

Next map will definitely be Russia/Middle East.

I doubt they will do more after that, since the Brazil Box only has room for one more.

You don't need to carry all the maps in one box. Some people may not even have ALL the maps. No, I'm sure EVERYONE has ALL the maps.

the brazil box was marketted as being able to hold ALL the maps, ergo, there is one map left to be released.

Perhaps we are expected to put one map in the original box. For years I had two maps in my box.

Perhaps. Does an extra map fit in the box as issued, without removing inserts?

No. Somewhere one BGG you can find instructions for cutting down the original insert to make two maps fit. I threw the insert away very early, because I put the houses and fuel tokens in plastic tubs.

Yuck, not into modifying inserts. Thanks anyway though!

The box was made to hold all the maps that had come out up to that time. No need to presume that closes the box on it.

Your interpretation of marketing may lead you down the road to heartbreak.

That's half right. The 2010 Essen maps have been announced, and it will be Russia/Japan.
