I did a remake/revamp/whatever-you-call-it of Dark Cults. All of the cards were available in the file section, but the quality was pretty low.

I've only seen one copy for sale in all the time I've been looking, and it was still pretty steep for a deck of cards.

I threw pictures into a Magic: The Gathering card-making program and messed around with everything until I was happy. I didn't add anything except some flavor text to the start cards.

I've printed up a set for myself from Artscow. I hope it turns out alright, as I spent way too much time on this. I've submitted the files to the 'geek, but who knows if they'll get in.

More cards, from the gallery:

I love your artwork for these cards. ArtsCow had a very nice sale going on today so I ordered a set.

Thanks so much for the compliment.

One small thing you may notice: I made the cards almost exactly like the originals, so the expansion Item cards aren't listed as an option on the other cards (it should make sense when you read the rules). Just follow the rules for the expansion, which are available here: http://www.darkcults.homestead.com/

I got my copy of your remake from Artscow earlier this week and played the game for the first time today. I think your photos add more to the atmosphere than the original games because they are photos rather than drawings and are much darker.

Since there were several extra blank cards, I'm tempted to crop some photos and paste them on these extra cards to add additional atmosphere, location, character, etc. cards to add even more variety.

Thank you so much for taking the time to enjoy the revamp. It's a huge compliment.

If you want the program I used to make the cards, it was http://magicseteditor.sourceforge.net/. I'd be happy to send you any files.

No comment on time spent. Thanks for the feedback. I had a feeling that there weren't a lot of people out there wanting this, but I hoped those that did would really enjoy it.

I haven't uploaded them to artscow yet, but I've updated the cards to include an O on the location cards and to include objects on the score cards. It doesn't really add anything to the game, but I'll try to get them up there. Give me a yell if anyone needs it done immediately.

No, not yet. They're on my other computer, so I'll do it this afternoon.

Thanks for the reminder!

Here is the update. I corrected the Location cards to make them fit with the Object cards from the expansion. I also fixed the cards so that the card number on each card (for instance, 1/7 or 2/7 on the object cards) is the correct number. The make-your-own cards don't add into that count, so the numbers on those cards don't mean anything.

IMPORTANT: I made a major error in my original upload. I was three escape cards short (three Escape cards). I'm terribly sorry to folks that have already ordered. If you'd like me to send you the original files, just let me know. Again, I apologize!

Just to clarify, the third deck contains the last two pace cards, the three escape cards that were missed, four points cards (for the four player variant), and two sets of make-your-own cards using the following breakdown (there were enough for two sets):

Atmosphere: 4
Object: 2
Character (evil): 2
Character (neutral): 2
Danger: 2
Location: 2
Pace: 3
Save: 1
Start: (always add so that there is an odd number)
Threat: 1
Escape: 1
Death: 1

The make-your-own cards are obvious as they are blank, with the exception of the Escape and Death cards, which I put in so that the deck could remain balanced if you added to it. To play the game as originally printed, you'll only want 5 death cards (E1) and 8 escape cards (E2).

This is from the artscow geeklist, for those who already bought a set of cards. You can now make a deck where each card has a different back, so you can just add these to the extra space on another deck. Again, sorry for my mistake.

Can you create a gallery of just the three escape cards for those of us who already have everything else? It gives us a chance to simply tack them onto another order which is already short of 54 cards.

That's a great idea. Thanks for helping me scrape some egg off my face!

This album includes three more escape cards and the fixed location cards (that just means each location also has an "O" for the expansion's object cards). The card back is also included.

So, I need all 3 decks for the complete game?
