In the US - we lock up our Loonies. In Canada - you pass them around like they're money. I say let the loonies flow.

I say Do It! Something so small could be what she remembers as an adult when having parties for her her own children. I bet it'll be a blast.

It's just me... Kim thinks I'm just this side of loony.

As my very wise wife noted, if it washes out immediately and she (the little girl) wants it herself, go for it. Otherwise there will be tears.

Ella and Lucy approve of temporary hair dye.

Edit: They also seem OK with redeye from the camera flash, but that's a different matter.

What does the little girl want? Is that all she wants?

If either of these directs away from a dye job, then skip it. That's a lot of mess and fuss over a birthday. Plus, you have to deal with the aftermath. And the setting of a precedent.

So, my wife let my daughter dye her hair yesterday.

She's been really tore and not sure if she wanted to let her.

She's 13 years old and over the past couple years she's have purple and green, but she finally picked a color that really worried and bothered my wife, so she wasn't sure she wanted her to.

But, she caved and let her dye her hair 'brown'.

Yes, brown was the color that made my wife wonder if she should.

Somebody put this in the record books. First recorded instance of anyone ever dying their hair brown!

The point was my wife had no problem with our kids dying purple and green, but for some reason has a problem with her doing it brown.
