Will be moving to Sierra Vista, AZ area in a few months to teach at Fort Huachuca and am curious if there are many gaming groups in the area.

I assume there are quite a few in Tucson, but I don't know that I'll want to make that trip every week

EDIT: Should be in Southwest... oops..

You might want to ask a mod to move this to the southwest forum.

This is the Midwest forum... about 50 degrees cooler in this forum...

BUT, I have visited AZ recently and can say that Sierra Vista is resonably (an hour+ maybe?) close to Pheonix. Pheonix did indeed have a few game stores worth visiting, and some loyal gamers. If you hunt in that forum, there are likely to be a few threads worth checking into!

I don't know what the scene's like in Sierra Vista.

I do know that Sierra Vista is a good three hour drive from Phoenix. So you'd have to decide if six hours round trip in your car is a reasonable price for playing games.

You're looking at an hour to Tucson. If you can't find anything local check out the following for regular open gaming events in our fair city.

I used to teach at Ft. Huachuca myself. It's a neat place (if you like the desert)!
