Hi all!

On Saturday (Nov 13) I took part in the Con*Cept 2004, Montreal's science-fiction and fantasy convention (http://www.conceptsff.ca/conv.html). It was great, there were many interesting activities, one of them was a reading session by my favourite writer, Elisabeth Vonarburg (http://www.sfwa.org/members/vonarburg/), author of The Maerlande chronicles.

During one of the pauses I visited their gaming area. There were two tables where they were playing RPG's and another table with a stack of board games that people could play. There was no one else to play with me, so I just sat down, opened the Blokus box and read the rules while playing a little bit with the pieces. I'm considering getting this game for the end-of-year festivities.

It was a superb event, this was the fourth time I participated, it is always a lot of fun, it's entertaining and even educational: one of the panels was about the best way to achieve faster-than-light travel: warp vs. stargate!

Hey Valdir!

Sounds like fun. Too bad you couldn't go at Paul's. It was fun too.
