Am always looking for game purchase suggustions. If you check my profile, you can see the games I have rated. While am waiting for Power Grid to get in stock at jogo, I was wondering if any of you would have suggustions of games which I should like based on my ratings.

Thanks

Jogo
You can also check which games I own in my profile. Right now in my Jogo Order, I got Power Grid (still waiting to arrive in stock, others are in stock), Raja, Medici, India Rails(this one is for a friend). Wonder if before deciding if everything is OK and do the payment, if there would be a game or two which I should add...

You have a lot of cool games already. Just play each of the 7's and higher another time. Btw, I noticed you ranked Civ a 9 (you have good taste in this respect!) and I saw your note about the Western Expansion. You don't need it. You can get it and the rules from the Internet. In fact, if you really like Civ, you should check out the adv civ expansion project.

http://civproject.net/

Now you have something to do while you wait for Powergrid!

:-)

Hmm...
Guess replaying some 7's rated games which I don't have could be something...could help appreciate a game more with another play. I know that's what happenend for Raja...

Boards and Bits...
B&B has Giganten, Through the Desert, and Razzia! available. I've been eyeballing these for a while.
B&B is on my side of the states. I dont know how shipping would be all the way to your side of Canada.

hmmm.... Have you thought about Tikal.

My 2 bits.

Traders of Genoa
Yeah, out of the 6 games I bought in my last Jogocanada, Traders is the only one I didn't played with yet. Think might be time to start and read the rules...

Razzia!
Razzia! is Knizia's smaller card version of Ra w/a mafia theme.

Some OOP favorties
Some out of print games you might be able to trade for:

Die Macher (long game but time passes quickly)
Chinatown (solid Alea offering)

If you find yourself thinking you could stand to play a meatier version of Age of Steam, give one of the 18xx games a try.

I looked through your collection and ratings to see if I could find a game you would like. I second the recommendation of Through the Dessert. Hopefully the new version will be released soon.

Through the Desert
Hey dwarf, sorry for jumping in on your journal post but...

For Through the Desert, B&B only has the German version. How language dependent is this game?

German Through the Desert
I have a German copy of TTD and recently played it. With the exception of rules, there is no other language content. Great game!

Thx for the info kvn299. Appreciate it. You geeks have any other suggustions? Possibly a game I played in the pass which I don't own? Like if another play will make me like the game more.

Since you like bidding games, I would recommend zoosim (o zoo le mio) do not let the boxart fool you this is a good game.... (when RA comes back in print next year)
Also i always recommend transamerica (i find it a lot better than TtR!)
camelot legends might also work for you since you like CCG's CCG in a box always is nice, no keep buying untill you drop!
If you ever want to learn transamerica or RA, let me know when you're online and i'll play you at BSW!
Cheers

Some suggestions...
...based on what you already own and leaving out games which have been mentioned by others, I recommend you take a look at:

Wallenstein
El Grande
Lowenherz
Serenissima

In that order!

I do own Transamerica. Also played Ra. Played both on BSW. Thinking of buying Ra once the reprint comes out.
