What's up y'all,

I am such a geek that I like reading the rules to games.

I loved reading the Starfleet Battles rule books years before I ever played the game. I have printed out and read all of the rules to the Axis and Allies games. I bought Squad leader just so I could read the rules....

I like to read game rules like normal people read paperbacks!

What games here on the Geek have rules that can be printed out?...the big the better!

Rules make great bed-time reading!
Me too. My recent reading list has included the rules to Wallenstein, A Mighty Fortress (classic SPI rules, but with nice commentary), Age of Napoleon, Alhambra (which should be arriving in a week or so), Piracy ("arrrrh"), Struggle of Empires (arriving in December, I hope), and Sixteen Thirtysomething.

You could try the War of the Ring rules at 20 odd pages; I've just finished reading them. They do give a pretty good picture of the game (I hope!).

Roads and Boats is quite a read
I haven't had a chance to finish.blush

I tend to read the rules just prior to playing (within a week), or it doesn't sink in.

In this case, though, the game is available here on BGG, so give it a shot after reading the rules (or WHILE reading them!).

The bigger the better? Than how about trying the download of the Magic Realm rules?

I find it somewhat frightening that there are people like you, but then there are people like me. http://www.geocities.com/athos_10/NIE/ Look for version 1.5 towards the end.

Biggest rules!!
If you want a set of rules to print out and read have I got a set for you. Sounds as though you enjoy reading rules for heavier games.
Battlefleet Gothic's rules can be printed out in their entirety, as well as other Specialist games like Mordheim. If you are already familiar with Warhammer you'll know what they are like.
Download the rules to Twilight Imperium 3rd edition and tell me that this game does not whet your appetite in anticipation of the game's release.

I second Twilight Imperium 3rd Edition. Haven't even gotten through them myself (mainly because I don't have good enough printer and I don't enjoy reading that long PDFs on screen, but that shouldn't be a problem for you), but they seem really sweet. And there is a lot of stuff to read!

If you're going to indulge in this sort of thing...
... you could always buy some RPG rules, years of reading, and often no discernable game underneath...

...and...
The complete rules for "Magic: the Gathering" are quite a challenge as well.
