Here is another variant that I think adds a little life to the original Die Zombies Die. No expansions required.
Die Zombies Die 2 (Turns: 16)
Heroes: Starting Cards (1), Heroes Replenish
Zombies: Zombie Autospawn
1. Heroes must kill 30 zombies in fifteen turns (use the Die Zombies Die counter, then go back through 10)
2. When spawning, the zombie player must spawn, with the exception if they only have one zombie left in their pool.
3. Heroes win by killing 30 zombies in 16 turns. Zombies win by preventing heroes from achieving their goal or killing four heroes.
So this scenario we only played once, and heroes barely one on the last turn killing three zombies. It forces the heroes to quickly get set up and hunt/ rid the town of the zombie invasion. It was a lot more fun that the original and required a lot more from the heroes. Zombie Autospawn helps the heroes out more, getting the required kill count needed. We played with the grave weapons and survival tactics, but it isn't necessary.
