2P. Third game of the evening, and Kim's frustration continued with this one.
Native Village, Swindler, Steward, Fishing Village, Great Hall, Bureaucrat, Mine, Outpost, Festival, Adventurer

Note that there is only one 4!

I started Bureaucrat / Steward. I thinned my deck while building up treasure, then used Festival and Steward as a flexible way to go for action/draw chains or deck thinning, depending on how the draws went. Extra buy and treasure enough to get lots of Gold. Worked fine even with the interference (below). I picked up a Swindler just to tweak Kim's planning at least a little, and replaced Stewards and Festivals as they were Swindled.

Kim went for the cheaper action/draw (adding Native Villages, too), then hit me with 3 Swindlers.

She hit the Bureaucrat 4 or 5 times! Which just discarded it, and replaced it with another Bureaucrat. Apparently my civil servants were honest and vigilant. You just can't Swindler them and get anything out of it. None of the replacement cards were too awful. I managed to trash the one Curse (I'd removed a lot of the Copper from my deck). Great Hall isn't bad in an action/draw deck. One Gold became an Adventurer; that's fine. A Festival became a Duchy, fine. Losing the use of the Bureaucrat was okay, too. It had done its work early, and it was still around late for nailing Provinces. Having it churned out of the way in the mid game was probably helpful. I was into Gold instead of Silver by then.

I loathe the Swindler, but it really wasn't the deck for using it effectively. Having all those Swindlers have no choice on the replacement, tho, that was funny.

The strategy of buying the card that's resistant to Swindlers is not so unusual.
