Hi,

I'm looking for miniature bases like the ones from Silent Death or Space 1889 miniatures. Basically, 1" hex bases with a post.

Any suggestions on where I can find these (or a reasonable facsimile)?

try this company. http://www.topgunmarketing.org/ I have their 4" telescoping bases for Canvas Eagles and I love them.

There's quite a few minis companys sell 1" flying bases, e.g. http://www.brigademodels.co.uk/Frames/ACC/index.html , http://www.gtns.co.uk/store1/commerce.cgi?product=FT-MISC&ex... , but to be honest your best bet (especially as I guess you'd rather order from the US) is to go over to http://www.star-ranger.com/Home.htm and either check the manufacturers list or ask on the message board and I'm sure somebody will be able to hook you up.

And if you fancy going up market a bit Litko ( http://www.litkoaero.com/page/LAI/CTGY/AFS ) do some really nice acrylic ones.

If you still can't find what you're looking for get back to me and I'll try and help you out.

Looks like the Brigade Models site has what I'm looking for. They also have stuff from Aeronef that's of interest. Thanks for the suggestion!

Glad to help (the Aeronef stuff is great isn't it, been trying to resist it myself for years ). Bit more awake this morning so got a couple more. Same thing, only a cheaper: http://www.em4miniatures.com/acatalog/MINIAATURES_BASES.html
and more local (saves on postage & don't worry if the website looks a bit amateurish - he's a really great guy to deal with):
http://studiobergstrom.com/index.php?categoryID=5
and these guys do metal stands if you need something a bit more heavy duty:

John,
Litko carries a bunch of diferent flight stands with pegs, including 1" hex. They've also made me some customs that were very reasonably priced.

Looks like Bergstrom has the same bases as my Sky Galleons of Mars figures. I've added a bunch of lead minis from Space 1889 to my collection and want to put them all on the same bases.
